Childhood Trauma Support: Data Analysis Programs and Care Coordination

This act aims to improve the lives of children affected by trauma by supporting programs that use data analysis to identify and implement strategies in areas with a high prevalence of adverse childhood experiences. Citizens can expect better access to support services, including healthcare, housing, and food assistance, as well as violence and addiction prevention programs, especially in the most vulnerable communities.
Key points
Establishing programs that use data to identify areas with high rates of childhood trauma and implement early intervention strategies.
Providing grants to local and state health departments for developing and implementing these programs, with an emphasis on culturally and gender-responsive approaches.
Supporting care coordination for children aged 0-5 and their caregivers, including pregnant individuals, to prevent and mitigate adverse childhood experiences.
Ensuring access to services regardless of ability to pay, immigration status, sexual orientation, or prior involvement with the legal system.
Prohibiting the use of data for individual child removal or placement decisions, and preventing increased law enforcement presence within these programs.
