Award for Companies Benefiting Employees and Communities

This act establishes a new award for companies that demonstrate a significant positive impact on their employees, stakeholders, and communities. It aims to encourage businesses to adopt better practices in environmental stewardship, governance, social responsibility, and worker empowerment, potentially leading to improved working conditions and greater corporate engagement in local development.
Key points
Establishment of the "Compassionate Capitalist Award" to recognize organizations that substantially benefit the well-being of their employees, stakeholders, and communities.
Evaluation criteria include environmental stewardship, governance (mission, ethics, transparency), social responsibility (community contribution, diversity, charity), and worker empowerment (financial security, safety, fair wages, development).
Awards will be presented annually in four business size categories (small, midsized, large, very large), with a maximum of 18 awards per year.
A board of directors will be established to nominate organizations and verify their information, including by soliciting employee feedback.
Information about nominated organizations, the evaluation process, and best practices will be publicly available on a government website, increasing transparency and allowing citizens to assess companies.
