Prioritizing COVID-19 Vaccines for Taiwan and Latin American Allies

This act aims to ensure that Taiwan and key Latin American allies receive prioritized access to U.S. COVID-19 vaccines. This means a portion of doses will be reserved for them before vaccines are distributed to other countries. These actions are intended to strengthen relationships with these regions.
Key points
At least 25% of U.S. vaccines intended for international distribution will be reserved for Taiwan and crucial Latin American allies.
Vaccine distribution to other countries will only be possible after Taiwan and allies receive their first shipment.
Vaccine distribution will not be allowed to countries engaged in systemic human rights abuses.
The act will terminate once Taiwan and crucial Latin American allies achieve 40% vaccination rates for their populations.
