Access to Taxpayer-Funded Medicines and Vaccines

This act aims to increase access to drugs, vaccines, and medical technologies developed with Department of Defense funding. Citizens may gain easier access to these products as the Department of Defense will be required to authorize other entities to use them. Additionally, a public database will be created to show how taxpayer money is used for medical research.
Key points
Increased Access to Medicines and Vaccines: The Department of Defense must make at least 10 medical products (drugs, vaccines, technologies) developed with its support available to expand access for military and civilians.
Transparency of Spending: A public, easily accessible database will be created to show which medical research is funded by the Department of Defense, including information on costs, companies, and product prices.
Company Accountability: Companies that received Department of Defense support will be required to disclose information about their research and products, with financial penalties for non-disclosure.
