This act aims to simplify access to higher education for students with disabilities by streamlining the disability verification process and increasing transparency regarding available accommodations. This will enable students and their families to more easily choose suitable colleges and effectively utilize support.

Colleges must accept a broader range of documents to prove disability, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that may not be current or records from licensed professionals.

Authorization of $10,000,000 in funding for the national center providing information and technical support for postsecondary students with disabilities.
Colleges will submit data to federal systems regarding the number of students with disabilities and their academic achievements, provided it does not reveal personally identifiable information.
