Social Security Disability: Supporting Return to Work and Employment Incentives.

This act aims to help individuals receiving disability benefits return to the workforce. It introduces new medical classifications, regular disability reviews, and financial and tax incentives for employers to encourage hiring these individuals.
Key points
New Disability Classifications: Individuals will be categorized based on expected medical improvement (e.g., improvement expected, likely, possible, not expected).
Periodic Benefit Reviews: Mandatory reviews of disability status will be conducted every 5 or 10 years, depending on the classification.
Time-Limited Benefits: For individuals with expected medical improvement, benefits may be limited to 23 or 59 months.
Ticket to Work Program Information: More information about the program supporting return to work will be regularly provided to beneficiaries.
Work Incentives: Disabled individuals returning to work may continue to receive partial benefits, and their earnings will not immediately lead to benefit loss.
Employer Tax Credit: Businesses hiring Social Security disability beneficiaries may qualify for a tax credit.
