Protecting Saline Lakes and Wildlife in the Great Basin

The Act authorizes the Director of the United States Geological Survey to establish a program to assess and monitor the hydrology of saline lakes in the Great Basin and the migratory birds and other wildlife dependent on them. The program aims to inform and support coordinated management and conservation actions for these ecosystems. The Secretary of the Interior will establish a multiyear work plan in coordination with other entities.
