Travel Registration for High-Risk Countries and Evacuation Priority

This act requires US citizens traveling or residing in highly dangerous countries to register with the State Department. This aims to facilitate evacuations, prioritizing those who have registered. Failure to register may result in a fee.
Key points
The US President will create and update a list of countries deemed highly dangerous, for example, due to terrorism or armed conflict.
US citizens planning to visit or reside in these countries must register with the Department of State, ideally before departure or shortly after arrival.
Failure to register within the specified timeframe may result in a $500 fee, unless extraordinary circumstances apply.
In case of necessary evacuation from a dangerous country, registered individuals will receive priority.
The act applies to US citizens and permanent residents of the United States.
