Key points
All apprenticeship programs must have a detailed training plan, including task descriptions, learning time, and mentoring.
Apprentices will receive wages that increase with their skills and will not be less than the minimum wage.
Programs must provide safe working and training environments, as well as adequate training for mentors.
The act promotes diversity and equal opportunities in programs, including women, people of color, individuals with disabilities, and those with employment barriers.
