New Parental Leave Benefits from Social Security

This bill introduces paid parental leave benefits for parents following the birth or adoption of a child. These benefits will be paid from the Social Security trust fund, and their cost must be repaid through reductions in future old-age insurance benefits or by increasing the retirement age.
