Easier Medigap Access for All Eligible Medicare Beneficiaries

This act makes it easier for Medicare beneficiaries, including those under 65 and with pre-existing conditions, to get supplemental Medigap insurance. This provides greater financial protection and peace of mind by removing age and health barriers to purchasing a policy.

Guaranteed access to Medigap policies for all Medicare-eligible individuals, regardless of age or health status.
Individuals under 65 who are Medicare-eligible due to disability can now purchase Medigap.
People disenrolling from Medicare Advantage plans after at least 12 months gain guaranteed Medigap access.
A one-time enrollment period will be established for individuals previously ineligible for guaranteed issue.
