More "Made in USA": New Rules for Goods in the Market

This act aims to boost domestic production by requiring many goods sold in the U.S. to have over 50% of their value originating from the United States. This could mean more jobs in American factories and less reliance on foreign suppliers, but also potentially higher prices for some products.
Key points
Many products sold in the U.S. will need to be more than half produced in the United States.
The government will annually identify critical goods for national security and industry that will be subject to these new rules.
Companies failing to meet these requirements could face significant penalties.
Small businesses with annual revenue under $5 million are exempt from these rules.
The President can temporarily waive these requirements for certain goods if domestic production is difficult or critical for national security.
