Ending most healthcare fees for federal prisoners, except for inmate-inflicted injuries.

This new law changes how healthcare services are charged in federal prisons. Prisoners will no longer be charged for most medical visits, unless their injuries were inflicted by another prisoner. In such cases, the fee may be collected from the account of the prisoner who caused the injury.
Key points

Fees for medical care can only be assessed if injuries are caused by another prisoner, with the cost borne by the perpetrator.
