Military Operation Costs: Transparency for Every Taxpayer

This new law requires the Department of Defense to publish detailed information on its website about the cost of military operations for each U.S. taxpayer. This will allow citizens to easily see how much of their money is spent on these activities, increasing transparency in public spending.
Key points
The Department of Defense must show the cost of each military operation for every taxpayer.
Information will be available on the website, in a clear format, with supporting documentation.
Data will be updated annually, 90 days after the end of each fiscal year.
This includes all overseas contingency operations since September 18, 2001, not just Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
