More Support for Job Seekers: Transport, Care, Internet, and More
This act expands the types of help available to people in workforce development programs. It includes support for transportation, child care, housing, food, mental health, internet access, and financial aid to make it easier to participate in training and find jobs.

Expanded Definition of Supportive Services: Now includes transportation, child care, housing, food, mental health care, substance use treatment, access to broadband/internet/digital devices, assistive technology, and needs-related payments.
Assistance with Benefits Access: Workforce programs will help individuals apply for and access federal, state, tribal, or local benefit programs.
Support for Youth: Youth programs will provide or connect youth to supportive services, including food, health, and mental health care, and financial literacy education.
Support After Finding Work: Adults and dislocated workers can receive supportive services (excluding needs-related payments) for up to 12 months after starting a job if they cannot get them elsewhere.
Needs-Related Payments: Unemployed adults and dislocated workers not receiving unemployment benefits may receive financial aid to enable participation in training.
