Enhanced Support for Victims of Gun Violence and Homicide Victims' Families.

This act amends crime victim assistance grants to prioritize programs aiding victims of firearm violence and families of homicide victims. This means more financial resources will be directed to these groups, potentially improving access to psychological, legal, and financial support for those affected by such tragedies.
Key points
Programs assisting victims of firearm violence and families of homicide victims will receive priority for grant funding.
States receiving funds must reserve at least 10% for each priority group, including victims of firearm violence and families of homicide victims.
The changes aim to increase support for those most affected by tragic events, providing faster and more targeted assistance.
