Equal Statistical Data Collection for U.S. Territories

This act aims to ensure that statistical data concerning U.S. Territories (like Puerto Rico or Guam) are collected and published in the same manner as for the other states. This will provide residents of these territories with access to more complete and comparable information, which can aid in better public service planning and economic development.
Key points
The U.S. government will assess which statistical programs do not include Territories and why.
A plan will be developed to collect data for Territories in the same way as for states, including cost estimates.
Within four years, data collection for Territories is to be fully integrated into federal programs.
