Support for Homeless Veterans: New Tax Contribution Options.

This act allows taxpayers to designate a portion of their tax refund or make additional contributions to a dedicated fund for homeless veterans. The funds will be used for programs and services aimed at preventing and ending veteran homelessness. This provides citizens with a direct way to support veterans in need.
Key points
You can designate a portion of your tax overpayment (at least $1) to the Homeless Veterans Assistance Fund.
You can also make an additional contribution to this fund, separate from any tax refund.
Funds will be used for programs and services for homeless veterans, managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Labor, and Department of Housing and Urban Development.
These departments will be required to report annually on how the funds were used and how they plan to use them in the future.
