Second Look Act: Opportunity to Reduce Long Prison Sentences

This act allows individuals sentenced to over 10 years in prison to petition for a review of their sentence after serving at least 10 years. The court will assess if the person is no longer a danger and is ready for reentry into society, potentially leading to a reduced sentence. This aims to decrease the number of people serving lengthy sentences and support their reintegration.
