Immigrants’ Mental Health Act of 2021
This act aims to enhance mental health support for newly arriving immigrants at the border and provide psychological assistance for border agents. It introduces training for officers to identify mental health issues and mandates the assignment of mental health experts to border facilities. Crucially, immigrants' mental health information will not be shared for immigration proceedings.
