Employment Status Confirmation for Long-Term Unemployed

This bill proposes changes to federal unemployment benefits for long-term unemployed individuals. If you have received unemployment benefits for over 30 weeks, your state unemployment agency will need to confirm your employment status with your last employer. If your employer reports that you refused to return to work, your benefits may be terminated.
