Tax Fairness for Remote and Multi-State Workers

This act aims to simplify tax rules for individuals working remotely or across multiple states, limiting the ability of states to double-tax their income. Citizens will not be required to pay income tax in a state where they are not physically present, even if their employer is located there.

States can only tax non-residents' income if they are physically present in that state.
States cannot tax non-residents' income for periods when they are physically present in another state.
Working from home cannot be a basis for taxation by a state where the employee does not reside, even if it's for employer convenience.
