Access to Oxygen Therapy for Veterans with Brain Injuries and PTSD

This act aims to provide veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with access to hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This alternative treatment method is intended to help combat the high risk of suicide and self-harm among veterans, offering support beyond traditional medications.
Key points
Veterans with traumatic brain injury or PTSD at high risk of suicide will gain access to hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy will be available after at least two other evidence-based treatments have been tried.
The goal is to reduce veteran suicides through new, non-invasive treatment options.
