This act changes how information about foreign agents is reported and made publicly available. Citizens will have easier access to digitized data on who is acting on behalf of foreign governments, increasing transparency and making these activities easier to understand.

A new, more searchable and sortable online database, called the National Foreign Agents Database, will be created and made publicly accessible.
Information will be posted to the database immediately upon receipt, rather than just "as soon as technically practicable," improving data timeliness.
