Improved Airline Information and Entertainment Access for Passengers with Disabilities.

New rules aim to ensure that passengers with disabilities have full access to in-flight information and entertainment. Airlines will need to adapt screens, apps, and websites to be accessible to all passengers, enhancing travel comfort and equal rights.
Key points
All visually displayed in-flight information and entertainment must be accessible to persons with disabilities, including through captions, audio description, and American Sign Language.
Aural PA announcements on flights must also be provided in textual format on displays.
Touchscreen displays, mobile apps, and airline websites for in-flight entertainment must be operable non-visually by persons with disabilities.
Aggrieved individuals can sue airlines for violations, and the Attorney General can also bring civil actions on their behalf.
