Support for Veterans and Families in Starting Businesses

This act aims to help veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and their families start their own businesses. Through the "Boots to Business" program, they will receive training and support to develop business plans, identify sources of capital, and connect with local resources.
Key points
The "Boots to Business" program is codified under the Small Business Act, providing entrepreneurship training.
Training is available to members of the Armed Forces, veterans, Transition Assistance Program participants, and their spouses or dependents.
The program includes presentations, online self-study courses, in-person classroom instruction, and in-depth online training leading to business plan creation.
The Administrator may collaborate with Veteran Business Outreach Centers and other partners to administer the program.
Information about the program will be made available through the Departments of Defense, Labor, and Veterans Affairs.
