This act aims to ensure that low-income seniors residing in Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories can receive assistance with prescription drug costs under the Medicare program. This will provide residents of these areas with equal opportunities to access financial support for medication, potentially significantly reducing their healthcare expenses. The changes will take effect on January 1, 2023.
