Post-Pandemic Education Support: Grants for Schools and Students

This act establishes a grant program for schools and educational institutions to help students address academic, social, and health challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds are intended to support student development, especially for those in greatest need, through new teaching methods and psychological support.
Key points
Schools and educational agencies can receive funds for programs supporting students' academic, mental, and physical health needs after the pandemic.
Priority for grants will be given to schools serving high-need students, including low-income students, students of color, Native American students, homeless students, migrant students, students in foster care, students with disabilities, and those disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
Programs can include extended learning time, social-emotional support, mental health services, culturally responsive practices, and professional development for educators.
A portion of the funds will be allocated to rural areas and schools operated or funded by the Bureau of Indian Education.
