Enhanced Education for Visually and Hearing Impaired Students

This Act aims to improve the quality of special education and early intervention for children and youth with visual disabilities, who are deaf or hard of hearing, or deaf-blind. It ensures these children receive specialized support and instruction tailored to their unique needs, regardless of other diagnoses. It also introduces new evaluation and educational planning requirements to better address their language and communication needs.
