Congressional Disapproval of DACA Health Plan Eligibility

This document proposes that Congress reject a previous rule that allowed DACA recipients and certain other non-citizens to access health insurance plans through exchanges, receive premium tax credits, and benefit from cost-sharing reductions and a basic health program. If approved, this proposal would remove these healthcare benefits and financial assistance for these individuals.
Key points
DACA recipients and certain other non-citizens may lose eligibility for qualified health plans through an Exchange.
They may no longer receive advance payments of the premium tax credit or cost-sharing reductions.
Access to a Basic Health Program for these groups would also be revoked.
