Research on Medical Cannabis for Veterans with Pain and PTSD
This act directs the Department of Veterans Affairs to conduct studies and clinical trials on the effects of cannabis on the health of veterans suffering from chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The goal is to assess if cannabis can be an effective treatment, and to examine its impact on the use of other medications and overall quality of life for veterans. Participation in these studies will not affect other veteran benefits.
