Mandatory Reporting of Child Injuries and Deaths Linked to Products

This bill requires hospitals, medical examiner offices, and coroner offices to report to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding incidents involving the death or serious injury of a child associated with children's products or durable infant or toddler products.

Hospitals must report serious injuries or deaths of children (under 18) associated with children's products to the CPSC within 7 days of determination.
Medical examiners and coroners must similarly report child deaths linked to these products within 7 days.
