Faster Student Loan Forgiveness Credit for National Guard and Reserve Members.

This bill helps members of the National Guard and Reserves pay off their student loans faster under the PSLF program. It allows short periods of military duty, including training and state service (less than 30 days), to count toward the required payments. This change accelerates debt relief for those serving their country part-time.
Key points
Short-term duty (Federal or State, excluding long active duty) now counts toward student loan forgiveness credit (PSLF).
For every 20 days of qualifying duty performed in a year, the service member receives credit for one monthly payment toward loan forgiveness.
Service members can now receive credit for more than 12 qualifying payments in a single year, significantly speeding up the forgiveness process.
