Easier Filming and Photography in National Parks and Federal Lands

This new law simplifies rules for taking photos and videos on government-managed lands, like national parks. Citizens will find it easier to document their visits, often without needing permits or paying fees. This aims to facilitate content creation, for both personal and commercial purposes, provided that natural resources are protected and other visitors' experiences are not disturbed.
Key points
No permits or fees required for small groups (under 6 people) or for documenting already permitted events (e.g., weddings), regardless of commercial intent.
Introduction of a simplified, free online authorization for groups of 6 to 8 people, provided they do not disturb others, harm nature, or require exclusive use of an area.
Larger groups (over 8 people) or those requiring special equipment or exclusive area use will still need a paid permit, with fees based on crew size and equipment.
The act aims to protect natural resources and ensure filming activities do not disrupt other visitors or pose safety risks.
