New Beef Labeling Rules: Only US-Born, Raised, and Slaughtered Beef is "Product of USA"

This new law changes how beef products can be labeled. From now on, for a product to be called "Product of U.S.A.", the meat must come exclusively from cattle born, raised, and slaughtered within the United States. This aims to ensure that the "Product of U.S.A." label on beef truly signifies that the entire production process occurred domestically, potentially influencing consumer purchasing decisions and supporting local producers.
Key points
The "Product of U.S.A." label for beef can only be used if the cattle were born, raised, and slaughtered in the U.S.
The change aims to increase transparency regarding the origin of beef for consumers.
These new rules do not apply to beef intended for export.
