New Passenger Rights: Alternative Transport for Flight Delays

This bill aims to ensure passengers receive alternative air transportation at no extra charge if their flight is significantly delayed or canceled due to the carrier's fault. This will help citizens reach their destination faster, and their rights will be clearly communicated from booking.
Key points
Airlines must provide alternative flights on another carrier if your flight is delayed by 3 hours (domestic) or 6 hours (international) due to their fault, and you would arrive sooner.
You are entitled to a full cash refund, including ancillary fees, if you choose not to travel or opt for ground transportation.
Your rights must be clearly and conspicuously presented at the time of booking and in writing during a delay or cancellation.
