Full Benefits for Veterans: Ending Retired Pay Offset for Disability Compensation.

This Act eliminates the rule that required retired service members with service-connected disabilities to forfeit a dollar of their earned military retired pay for every dollar received in veterans' disability compensation. The change allows all eligible veterans, regardless of their disability rating (even below 50%), to receive both full military retired pay and full disability compensation from the VA concurrently. This directly improves the personal finances of thousands of veterans who previously lost a portion of their earned benefits.
Key points
All retired service members with a service-connected disability will be able to receive both full military retired pay and full VA disability compensation simultaneously.
The Act extends the Concurrent Receipt authority to veterans with disability ratings below 50%, who were previously excluded from full concurrent payment.
The changes are effective retroactively from January 1, 2021, potentially leading to back payments for eligible veterans.
Eliminates the financial sacrifice where disability compensation was deducted from military retired pay, increasing veterans' disposable income.
