Easier Help for Identity Theft Victims at Social Security

This new law makes it easier for people whose Social Security number has been misused. They will have a single, dedicated contact person at the Social Security Administration to help them resolve their issue from start to finish. This aims to speed up and simplify the process of regaining control over their information.
Key points
Single point of contact: Identity theft victims will get one specially trained employee to help them at the Social Security Administration.
Faster problem resolution: This employee will track the case to completion and coordinate efforts to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
Service continuity: Even if the employee changes, the case history will be maintained, and the individual will be notified.
