No More Dog Breed Bans in Public Housing

This new law aims to prohibit housing agencies from imposing breed restrictions on pets in public housing. This means residents cannot be excluded from owning a pet based on its breed, making it easier for many families with pets.
Key points
Public housing agencies can no longer ban pets based on their breed.
Restrictions on the number of animals, their size, building type, and bans for animals classified as dangerous based on behavior (not breed) are still allowed.
