Fly Together Act: Families with Children Seated Together on Flights

This new act aims to make it easier for families to sit together when traveling by air. Airlines will be required to ensure that children under 14 years old are seated next to an accompanying adult, without extra fees. This should improve travel comfort for families.
Key points
Airlines must seat children under 14 next to an accompanying adult if adjacent seats are available.
Airlines are prohibited from charging extra fees for seating children next to adults in the same class of service.
The rules do not change general seating policies for airlines that already offer flexible family seating.
