Safe Firearm Storage: Sales Requirements and Tax Credit

This Act requires licensed manufacturers and importers to include a written safe storage notice with firearms. It also expands the requirement for safe storage devices to include rifles and shotguns. Citizens benefit from a new tax credit covering 10% of the retail cost of purchasing safe storage devices, up to $400 per device. Additionally, the law establishes a grant program for states and tribes to distribute these devices.
