Increased funding for agricultural research: growth for federal agencies
The Act appropriates funds to four federal agencies involved in agricultural research and statistics, including the Agricultural Research Service. For fiscal years 2024 through 2033, funding will be 105% of the previous year's amount plus an inflation adjustment (CPI). From 2034 onwards, funding will be adjusted solely for inflation. These funds are exempt from sequestration and are not counted on PAYGO scorecards.
