Key points
Automatic Enrollment: Veterans will be automatically enrolled in the VA patient enrollment system within 60 days of their information being received.
Notifications and Opt-Out: Veterans will receive enrollment notices via mail and electronically, with instructions on how to opt out or enroll later.
Electronic Documents: By August 2024, veterans will have access to electronic eligibility certificates and an online opt-out mechanism.
