Improvements for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Employee Benefits

New rules make it easier to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) by allowing access to certain workplace medical services without losing HSA eligibility. This means employees can use selected health benefits offered by their employer, such as preventive exams or immunizations, while still saving for future medical expenses with an HSA.
Key points
Ability to use selected medical services at employer-provided clinics (e.g., exams, immunizations) without affecting HSA eligibility.
Expansion of the definition of preventive care for chronic conditions that do not conflict with HSA eligibility.
Changes apply to taxable years beginning after the enactment date of the Act.
