University Centers for Economic Growth: New Jobs and Innovation

This act establishes university centers in each state to support economic development, job creation, and innovation. Citizens may benefit from new job opportunities, local business growth, and improved services and research supporting the regional economy. These centers will collaborate with local businesses and institutions to strengthen regional development strategies.

Priority for establishing centers will be given to historically Black colleges and universities, Tribal colleges and universities, Hispanic-Serving institutions, and minority-Serving institutions, promoting equity.
