Cabinet Accountability and Transparency Act

This bill requires members of the President's Cabinet to notify Congress in writing if they are temporarily unable to perform their official duties. Such notification must be submitted not later than 24 hours before the absence begins. In the event of a medical emergency or other unforeseen circumstance, the employing agency assumes the responsibility of providing the notification.
