Ban on Federal Funding for National Public Radio; Funds Redirected to Debt Reduction.

This legislation immediately prohibits all direct and indirect federal funding for National Public Radio (NPR) and any successor organizations. Funds previously allocated to NPR for fiscal years 2024, 2025, and 2026 will instead be transferred to an account dedicated to reducing the public debt. Citizens who rely on NPR for news and cultural programming may experience changes in content availability or quality, as public stations can no longer use federal money to purchase NPR content.
