Easier Airport Screening for Disabled Veterans and Passengers with Disabilities.

This law significantly improves airport security screening for severely injured veterans and passengers with disabilities or medical conditions. It mandates free enrollment in the expedited screening program (PreCheck) for eligible, severely disabled veterans. Furthermore, it requires annual, specialized training for TSA staff to ensure more sensitive and effective screening procedures for all passengers with disabilities.
Key points
Severely injured veterans (e.g., loss of limb, paralysis, permanent blindness) will receive free enrollment in the TSA PreCheck expedited airport screening program.
Airport security personnel (TSOs) must undergo separate, annual training focused specifically on properly and sensitively screening passengers with disabilities.
Passengers with disabilities or medical conditions eligible for expedited screening must be provided access to such procedures, including in dedicated lanes.
