Study on Paying TSA Employees for On-Airport Commute Time.

This Act requires the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to conduct a feasibility study. The study will determine if the time TSA employees spend traveling between airport parking/bus stops and their duty stations should count as paid work hours. If implemented, this change could potentially increase compensation and improve working conditions for airport security personnel. The findings must be reported to Congress within 270 days.
Key points
Mandates a feasibility study on treating travel time between airport parking/transit stops and duty locations as paid work hours for TSA staff.
The study must analyze potential costs (including retirement implications), benefits, and the feasibility of using technology (like mobile phones) to track this time.
The goal is to reduce commuting burdens on Transportation Security Administration employees.
