Equal Leave Rights for Public Health Service Officers and Families.

This bill extends the rights of commissioned officers in the Public Health Service (PHS) and their families. They will now receive the exact same rules and benefits regarding leave and time off as those granted to commissioned officers in the U.S. Army. This change ensures parity in leave benefits for essential federal health personnel, potentially improving retention and morale.
Key points
PHS commissioned officers gain the same leave rights and privileges as U.S. Army officers.
The change also applies to the beneficiaries (families) of PHS officers regarding applicable leave benefits, enhancing family support.
